For many years, Sojourns Abroad, under the direction of its venerable founder, David Denman, sponsored a GAP YEAR semester program in Siena and had plans to expand that to both Barcelona and Paris. David retired last year with the result that the Siena project continues as Bel Camino. Carla Fabian, the Siena site director for Sojourns, is the director of this new project. Program details can be found at: www.belcamino.org
There will also be a Paris GAP YEAR Semester program, beginning in January, 2012. This is under the direction of John Nissen, who served as the co-director of the Sojourns organization. The Paris program is a twelve week offering in both spring and fall. It is rooted in community service, language study, a homestay, and appropriate cultural and travel experiences.
